The Fool's World is for readers who want to be transported to a new yet familiar place. Our aim is to publish legit works of travel and place:
nonfiction poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction travel flash,
and book reviews.
The Fool's World is for writers who believe in the "economy of language."
Our magazine aims to fill in where others fall short and it is exactly the preciseness and the conciseness that we seek. Whether the setting has you walking to your neighborhood corner store or you are in the streets of Istanbul snapping photos of the shadows made by the kitty cats darting throughout city; we want to see your place-based literary works.
If you're looking to submit longer travel or placed based stories, we recommend the good folks at Intrepid News, Terrain, and our sponsor at Raleigh Review. The Fool's World is here to provide an option for those shorter works and everything that is not currently being sought at other literary markets.
Regarding our logo: Tarot Card Zero, also known as The Fool, is a positive one who seeks new challenges and adventures. We want to promote those works of human experience that convey empathy and understanding for our neighbors all over the globe. Our logo was made by Nora Beers Kelly out of Québec.
Regarding the sharing of personal information: we do not share information, no names or addresses, etc., under any circumstances outside of our sponsor at Raleigh Review shall be shared, as we have never shared nor sold any personal information. The only exception to this rule is in cases of plagiarism so make sure the work and ideas are your own.
